One thing Karl Lagerfeld knows how to do very well is transform Chanel’s power tweed suit into diferent newely dated creations.
Over the years he has proven that he is a worthy designer to continue honoring the legacy of Coco Chanel. He has respected the life work of the great designer whose legacy is still appreciated, loved and told throughout the years. That is something few designers are able to do without inteferring with their own style.
This Haute Couture Spring show was mostly all about the power suit that Chanel once lauched with great success, just in diferent modern versions. Long, short, in dresses, in suits – Mr Lagerfeld focused his creativity into making powerful, classic, timeless pieces with notes of modernity.
The color palette consisted pastel white color combinations with some black and blue interventions. Nothing you don’t expect seeing being used in a Chanel line.
I’m always amazed of the way every Chanel piece seems so timeless and is appropriate for all times thanks to its design, texture and color. Modernity never looked this timeless.
