Who can bring power into Haute Couture?
The answer is simple.
Givenchy.

Sharp pieces, subtle volume and smart women suits. Givenchy’s Haute Couture show was filled with a sense of power and confidence.

The palette is pretty basic, black and white are taking the lead, with flashes and specks of bright red and other vibrant colors to create an impression.
There is some volume on the shoulders by using feathers, diamons, or even bows that work as wings.

I really liked how elegant the black dresses and suits looked on the catwalk and the flowers on that black floral dress – it really made an impression on me.

Powerful, sexy and creative are three words to describe Givenchy’s show. It added a sophisticated note at the Couture week, with pieces that although a bit eccentric, we would love to see worn out in the public. That white lacy dress has become my favourite.

Lace, satin, vinyl and latex elements were the basic textures the fashion house went with, and the designer chose to play with the way those textures appear on the catwalk. It defintely was a show worth watching.
