A piece about When royals parade and become our latest fashion inspo
For most people the idea of the royals seems like want-to-read fairytale. When you hear the word ‘princess’ you think of fluffy, extravagant dresses, tiaras and, of course, glass slippers.
It’s understandable when you think about the way Disney in particular has sculptured the idea of royals in our heads throughout the years, from our childhood to our early adulthood.
However, our royals nowadays have nothing to do with those ideas and they seem to only adapt them when they are attending a grand event, like a ball or some very important award ceremony. Most of the days they have what I call ” the perfect timeless style” .
Royals and, of course, I am talking about the women mostly have the best style. Never too eccentric, always on point, with the best color combinations that make us drool and wish we had that much style knoweledge.
Prinsecceses, duchesses and so on, they have proven that no matter the situation they can always make the best of them when they dress right.
Modern pants, emroidered shirts, long coats, tall heels – the royals know exactly how fashion is supposed to work for them. Utilitarian, chic and casual the following royals have mastered the timeless style.
With respect to the designers and the trends they set, they also have to follow certain protocols that don’t exactly let them look daring or sexy. They have an obligation towards their people to look presentable and stylish as ever in every outing.
Following are some royals I admire for their style and timeless look. They always manage to look their best and what I really like is how easy you can re-create their look with more in your badget clothing. Meaning, you don’t have to wear a Jimmy Choo shoe to look your best. If you do, well good for you.
