The Beginning of a New Season

September has just begun and there is a hint of sadness in the air.

Maybe this is not exactly the first sentence this post-editorial should begin with since it’s not very optimistic or positive in any way for the opening of the new month and the new season. However, nobody can ignore the sad faces, the I-miss-summer quotes, the Instagram posts of sunsets at the beach following a sad emoji face and the all-time-favorite hashtag of all… #takemeback.

Summer, for most of us, was very much needed to take a break not only from a lot of work on a daily basis, but also to feel free again. After so many restrictive summers with masks and covid vaccination, it was the first summer that felt almost normal. Obviously, the virus is not gone, the numbers of sick are still up and masks are worn by most (not all).

Nevertheless, it still felt so good to go to the beach on an island and feel that warm summer breeze on my face and listen to the sound of the sea moving in waves back and forth. Those small moments are proven to be the only thing that any of us remembers when reminiscing about the summer that is now behind us.

Fall season is slowly beginning with September opening the curtain of a brand new and very exciting season. Although we have to leave summer vacations behind, fall is always the mid-season before Christmas, so another holiday to keep in mind. In addition to the holiday, we have to wait for, there is also the promise of September. It’s the month when everything starts, from new projects, new deals, new goals and the lookout for new opportunities. Have you noticed how every new important start is always set on September? This can’t be a coincidence.

Personally, I believe that this new season is going to be a very vivacious one. With the thought that I want to live it to the fullest in mind, I am set and ready to set new projects and finally close old ones. This month, and the ones that will come after, will be ultimately productive in every aspect possible. It all depends in the way you view things, in the end of the day, and that is something I am slowly beginning to realize. When you change the way you look at things, then the things you look at change the way they appear to you.

This post/editorial should end by ushering you to be the best version of yourself starting this month if you aren’t already focusing on you. But, if you are, then let me congratulate you, pat you on the back and cheer for you to continue doing so for the rest of the year.

Let’s end this year smiling and conquering our goals.
Cheers to the new and last season of this year!
