The Haute Couture Week in Paris has always been one of the most interesting weeks in my calendar.

That’s possibly because I like how every designer becomes a lot more creative during that time, a lot more surprising and a lot more eccentric. It’s during that time that we see all the creative glory the designers usually subtly import in their ready-to-wear collections rather than haute couture. I feel like they can’t let themselves create exactly as extravagant as they want and haute couture is their only option. Maybe that’s the reason why each year haute couture seems to be resembling more and more a work of pure art.

One of my most favorite things to pay close attention to is the statement accessories from haute couture that always fascinated me.

This year is no different.

It’s not a secret in fashion that the right accessories can really make a difference on an outfit. In Haute Couture statement accessories add more flare, more power, more art in the designer’s canvas. Most of the time they resemble futuristic pieces of all kinds of shapes and colors, so beautifully combined that you just can’t miss them.

I went through all of the outfits and all of the designers’ collections that we saw on Haute Couture week and have picked out my favorite pieces.

Tip! Never feel cautious about wearing a statement accessory, even one straight from an haute couture collection. Choose your favorite accessory and wear it with a monochrome outfit. Add style and flare to your outfits with a simple accessory touch.
