New Year’s Wishes

Another year has just ended and this is the first day of a whole new chapter for all of us.

There is no doubt in my mind you’re all a bit tired of listening and reading about new year’s resolutions and people talking about how this year will be different and how they have created a whole list about all the things they want to do differently this time around.

Am I one of them? Obviously.

Am I going to post my revelations here? Not this time.

These days I’ve been thinking, what’s the point of saying you want or you will do something if you’re not going to do it in the end? Habits are hard to crack and even harder to start. You must have incredible self-control and motivation in order to truly make a difference in a year. No matter how much you want to start waking up at 5 am like those creators on YouTube (yes, I watch them too), the coziness of the bed and the warm covers will always drag you to them. It’s like an unwritten rule or something.

Personally, I have only kind wishes for the new year. No revelations, just plain old wishes and hopes about a new year that I will put my heart and soul to be better than the last one. Wishes like no more sickness (covid) in the world, better and more hopeful news when turning on the tv, kind words to share and be shared. Wishes for each day to be better than the last. I am well aware that we are masters of our universe like we’ve said so many times, so each wish is mostly up to us, but it would be nice if the universe helped a little. Hear that, universe?

With my own personal project continuing (mentioned on the blog before) and other projects already planned and put to work, I feel in my heart a bit glad that I have taken the first steps towards having a totally different life right before the new year. Because, you know, I am writing this while on 2023, while you’ll be reading this on 2024. Spooky, right?

This year my wish is to finally force myself to develop new habits that will be better for my mental health first and my body second. Healthy body and soul are essential not only for turning your life around, but also for continue living a life that makes you feel blessed and happy to have woken up each morning. Trust me, after listening to Mel Robbins podcasts all this time, I think this is quite important. Life is what you make it, no matter how much we tend to forget that ourselves. I guess, sometimes we forget we are the grownups now and for us each life alteration is one decision away. Like moving to a new city or starting a new job or hobby.

I wish for all of you the very best. I wish none of you gives up this year. I wish you continue to fight with positive vibes in mind and heart, prioritize yourself and your loved ones and make decisions that lead you a step towards your goals. Set goals. Set goals for each day, each month, each year. Go back at the end of the year and admire how far you’ve come. I wish you stop postponing each task you have, work or otherwise related, and simply do them right there and then. Challenge yourself daily and watch yourself becoming that person you’ve might forgotten about or the person you’ve always felt like being.

Wish for a year filled with positive vibes, happy moments with people that fill your soul, being in places that blow your mind. Let’s agree to come back in the end of this year and see how far we’ve come! Are you with me?

Happy New Year everybody 🥂
